I've been neglecting all the blogs in the these weeks of awful morning sickness. Many apologies. Sophie and I got into some edible art the other day. We made gingerbread cookies (Joy of Cooking recipe- a little bland, I think) and "painted them" with a simple mix of half cup confectioner's sugar and just enough water to get it to tempera paint consistency. I split it among three empty yogurt cups and added red and green food coloring to two. We painted with all sorts of utensils, and chopsticks, and fingers. I'm still cleaning up the sprinkles.
